Happy to hear about @DrJFLJackson's award. His wise counsel helped me muster the courage to apply to @UWMadEducation ELPA PhD program. So much timely wisdom re: life and career shared in brief moments that made a lifelong impact. Doubt I'd be where I am without him. 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
Honored to have our work acknowledged by @KeithEPhD. Please share this piece with your fac dev coordinators, chairs, deans, provosts, etc! https://t.co/lk75tHzFsg
@THEEDoctaJ What about researching a myth/truth of higher ed related to access, retention, completion on the student or employee side? I.e. who education was really for historically, meritocracy (or lack thereof), governance, etc.
@SylviaMendozaSD @DrLukeWood I've been thinking about this all day! I've found an IHE article on this subject, and I'm starting to put some resources together. Here's the article - https://t.co/Mq7e2NrGof.
@SylviaMendozaSD @DrLukeWood Another article that seems super practical is from U of Washington - https://t.co/XHT5BXcL2V. Please LMK if you come across other resources!
@QuanOso_ @Fharris3@DrLukeWood Please do - I ❤ it - There's also other activities folks can explore (See Sample Activities & Templates for Exploring Privilege, Power, and Oppression at https://t.co/S1xJxDdYMZ) i'm taking @Columbia's edx course on Inclusive Teaching RN and it features the wheel activity.
@pgorski Omg, this is speaking to me right now! I was trying to put into words this very concept. It is my response to some comments that criticized Toni Morrisons call out of Jana Wendt in the Uncensored video that is has been resurrected/circulating. Have you seen it?
@robert_finnerty I didn't pick up the vitriol, only resistance to an unfair question. Please help me understand your point. What do you find problematic with Toni's response?
@EspeInAZ What's been the response to this? I'm thinking the same thing. People are afraid of POCs with guns in a different way than non-POCs, right? What's that about?
Does anyone know of something similar to @EmmaWatson's workplace harassment hotline in the U.S.? Asking for a friend? One would think @USEEOC would have already thought of this.
‘This advice line is such a huge development in ensuring that all women are supported, wherever we work’ Thanks to @EmmaWatson for supporting the launch of our new Sexual Harassment at Work legal advice line @TIMESUPUK @RosaForWomen https://t.co/H8lUt2NmOV
@harassment_free can we process this piece for the people in the back? I feel like the debate about this question exposes how clueless people are about what harassment is/isn't. https://t.co/z0EQfKof52
