@KarenStrine3@1goodtern I had short-term (minutes) of tinnitus a few times a week. I now have it all the time, post COVID. We’ll see what the ENT says in a few weeks. $5 says they blame it on my other meds that I’ve been on for ages.
I need y'all to listen: The Nebraska Heartbeat Bill LB626 is dangerous & too few in the media are paying attention.
I am a double board certified OBGYN & Reproductive Endocrinology & Infertility specialist in Nebraska & LB626 will cost lives. Here's why:
Please read & boost
@anr131@1goodtern Costochondritis is THE worst. I feel for you. I had it the day after a RAT popped positive & it lasted 3 weeks. I do get this occasionally with rheumatoid arthritis but it’s usually a day or 2.
@HugEeyore @cheryllongs@1goodtern This terrifies me. Having been diagnosed with RA at 19 & now mid-50s & finally reached medication remission (tentatively), I love being able to hike and do all the things I missed out on in my 20s, 30s, & 40s.
certain people are always saying gender is about "basic biology" but I prefer to think it's actually about basic french because once you've agreed that a table can be feminine then you've already conceded the matter is more complicated than it looks
We commend Ann Arbor Public Schools, who will require masks Jan. 9-20 to prioritize in-person learning. Thank you AAPS for following the guidance of experts and making the right choice for your students, staff, and community.

@bitter_witch@alyssaknix @alexanderchee This. It’s helping them learn to make decisions with low stakes stuff. Then, they’ve had lots of practice & don’t freak out once it’s all on them. Mine are grown & ask my opinion often.
As of this morning, there are no white men in Michigan's highest-ranking posts in state gov't.
Women hold 5 of the top 7: governor, attorney general, secretary of state, Senate majority leader & Supreme Court chief justice
Black men hold the other two: Lt. Gov & House Speaker
People at higher risk for severe COVID—the immunocompromised, disabled, elderly—have every right to take precautions and have every right to be angry. They are not "hysterical" or "risk averse." They are being intentionally excluded from society by bad pandemic leadership.
@MariK20811209 @Howodd69@teach0r@piper4missouri Detroit Public = the DeVos push for privatization. As a former special Ed teacher working with adjudicated youth, the %age of students in Wayne Co. with charter school transcripts + zero services for learning disabilities and/or HUGE Ed gaps to remediate was horrifying.
@sebrina_doyle @Nicole_Lee_Sch This is a great idea. Also ensure the library has SEVERAL copies for students who might buy textbooks in alternate ways as shipping might take a minute at the beginning of term. Even an old edition (with notes re: differences attached somehow) is SUPER helpful.
@meganf@SashaDevlin This is me, but I’ve lost a lot of weight since 2020 & am re-shopping for the black basics. I do have 3 that I can dress up & down and wear for work (the few times I do in-person stuff).
@Spaceconveyor @MikeRoseMDMPH Yes! We do this, too. There are also larger %ages of older adults, sometimes! Knowing history is important. During early COVID we looked for graves with death dates during the Spanish Flu. Eye-opening.
