@uncledoomer Hopefully when you grow up and get a little more mature you’ll shed this mentality and learn to just love people. It’s a lot less exhausting than whatever mental gymnastics you’re currently doing.
@AriDrennen I get what we’re all talking about here (and there will be and have always been ridiculous aspects of any social movement) but I really wish we didn’t all decide to capitulate to the right’s framing of the progressivism of yore. Most progressives did not talk this way back then.
when a cat is laying on u and they are like ah yes this exactly where i want to be. what a safe and optimal place to rest my weary little head…… that’s what life is about. never kill urself
‘BACKROOMS’ director Kane Parsons says he would get “no enjoyment” out of using generative AI on any project — “It defeats the purpose entirely for me.”
“I think I'm in the same boat as most well-adjusted people. If I could snap my fingers and make generative Al disappear forever, I probably would.”

Not Tamil, but if you like these, look up the 20th C Telugu magazine cover artist/illustrator Vaddadi Papaiah. Decades of great stuff that isn't even well known across India.
I’m sorry that was your experience, but as someone who loves movies. It made the experience of watching a move so much more than just pressing play. We got dressed, drove to blockbuster & browsed the aisles together or separately picking our own movies. Hoping the movie you wanted was in stock(having a backup in mind) Then we met at the snack section & grabbed popcorn & Buncha Crunch & gummy bears. We stopped & grabbed takeout on the way home & picked whose movie to watch first. It was an experience that has been minimized to browsing Netflix for 25 minutes and still not knowing what to watch, till eventually settling for watching the same show/movie you’ve seen 100x just so you can scroll on your phone 2/3 of the time.
