@RollingStone@tmorello Imagine how little public opinion would have shifted regarding Gaza had Kamala won while endorsing support for Israel and both sides-ing the genocide
Look, it’s bad that Trump is banning outlets from the White House but…
Liberals focused on being outraged about CNN losing White House access while their own party’s California leaders help a Trump billionaire literally buy CNN & the entire media — it’s truly 🤌
@3meshchanskaya@briebriejoy@AllieAdah Ok, agree. How many vote dem, how many vote at all and how many would support a 3rd party? I actually do not know the answer but my feeing is not enough.
@briebriejoy@AllieAdah Genuine question: will this take longer than a gradual takeover of the dem party? If you are skeptic about Dems relinquishing power to DSA, what chance does a 3rd party have against same Dems?
@briebriejoy Why is it so hard to accept kshama is an unlikable candidate, and that if you want to engage in electoral politics, that you have to unfortunately account for that? No one likes kshama because she is a boring, pedantic scold and like it or not that matters!
@Kelleyswords@TheDemocrats@cmkshama@krystalball no way to know if that’s true. If Bernie couldn’t do it as a dem, what chance does a 3d party candidate have, truthfully? every DSA member agrees Dems are run by capitalist pigs. Be honest about how effective a 3 party run would be, even with the full force of the DSA behind it.
@briebriejoy I think BP team sees kshama’s antagonizing DSA as deleterious to the project of gradual takeover of the Dem party, which is their end goal. Important question which is unanswerable: will this work faster than savant’s third party/revolution to deliver gains for working class.
@matthewstoller Lefties would do well to dispel the myth that swing voters want the centrist dem position on everything. It’s really all centrists have at this point as an argument electorally and it’s not based on any real evidence
