I asked a few times, in school, on here, and of my union, if I could decline both the additional work and the associated payment.
There appeared no mechanism to allow this to happen.
Does this pave the way for more mandatory underpaid overtime for teachers? I sincerely hope not.

Just checked payslip to see what my £400 payment for doing SQA's job for it amounted to.
After deductions I got £268 which, for approx 30 hrs additional work I did, comes out at just 2p per hour above minimum wage.
And loads of folk I know did much more work for much less money.
