Seventy years ago, Joe McCarthy warned that communists were burrowing into the schools, Hollywood, the press, and the Democratic Party. They mocked him, wrecked his name, and turned “McCarthyism” into the ultimate scare word.
Look around. How’s that working out?
The radical left is saying the quiet part out loud. Mitch Green—the DSA communist operative recently exposed as a local tax evader—just dropped a campaign video demanding more tax hikes for Portlanders.
Riding shotgun is council member Angelita Morillo, bringing her imported brand of third-world socialist politics directly to City Hall.
Never forget that Green tried to destroy evidence of his own social media history, which revealed he cheered on deadly 2020 riots, told terrorized business owners to stop whining about vandalism, and demanded the total abolition of police. They don't want to govern Portland; they want to bankrupt and dismantle it.

And the list goes on and on…
HE IS LAUGHING ABOUT IT.
An illegal alien from Mexico killed two police officers in California and said, “I will break out soon and I will kill more.”
That is not remorse. That is a promise.
Democrats fight every day to protect sick criminals like this while American cops get buried.
Deportation is not cruel. Leaving monsters on the street is.
The economic illiteracy of Portland City Council DSA members has reached a boiling point.
As Andrew Hoan rightly pointed out, local taxes are nothing more than hidden tariffs passed directly to the consumer under the guise of taxing "big business." Portland already retains the infamous title of having the highest combined business and personal tax burden in the United States.
To claim a commitment to lowering the cost of living while consistently voting to increase the tax burden is the height of political hypocrisy.
The council's total inability to manage a budget is directly threatening Portland's employment base.
For decades, progressive leaders have operated under the delusion that they can cultivate a thriving small-business ecosystem while actively punishing major employers. Because none of them possess an ounce of real-world business experience, they fail to grasp that small businesses cannot survive without the foot traffic and consumer spending generated by large corporate payrolls.
The economic decay is already visible along corridors like Sandy Boulevard, which is heavily scarred by boarded-up storefronts.
This proposed $72 million tax hike will act as an immediate catalyst for disinvestment.
Major grocery employers like Kroger, who are already evaluating the viability of their Portland QFC and Fred Meyer locations, will likely view this as the breaking point.
The resulting flight of capital will create immediate food deserts in vulnerable neighborhoods. Furthermore, the math is entirely self-defeating: the city is risking an estimated $280 million in total tax and payroll revenue losses just to capture a short-term $72 million windfall.
Celebrating this as an ideological victory isn't just misguided—it is economically destructive.

Portland’s social fabric has taken a serious hit—and the new form of government has not magically fixed it.
The 2024 transition to a 12-member City Council and district-based elections was supposed to bring stronger neighborhood representation and accountability.
Now Portland voters get to judge the record.
Look at the votes. Look at the budgets. Look at public safety, homelessness, housing, infrastructure and economic growth. Then decide whether the people currently holding office have delivered the results Portland needs.
Accountability starts at the ballot box.
If who want a high trust society restored, we have an opportunity to remove 3/4th of this council cancer by not ranking Mitch Green in D4 and Morillo and Koyama-Lane in D3.
Councilor Mitch Green, a @PortlandDSA member, openly hates police, skipped thousands in property taxes, and literally lit an illegal brush fire during a burn ban.
His motto: Rules for thee but not for me!
Portland cannot survive this level of incompetence and idiocy!
Why are we shocked? These are not new revelations. He believes in these extreme ideologies and is a proud member of the @PortlandDSA. Their platform openly calls for Police, prisons, and borders to be abolished. He just got caught saying the quiet part out loud. VOTE HIM OUT!
Councilor Mitch Green’s interview with Blair Best on KGW is being blasted across law-enforcement social media—literally everywhere.
These aren’t obscure Portland accounts. Some have more than a million followers.
This is no longer just another Portland political controversy buried in the local news cycle.
Portland’s reputation is being dragged onto a national stage.
And let’s be clear: we’re not talking about the minuscule “Pravda on the Willamette” crowd at the Portland Mercury.
We’re talking massive national—and potentially international—audiences seeing Portland’s elected leadership through this story.
The consequences of Portland’s political rhetoric doesn’t stop at the city limits. It’s now on a WORLD STAGE.

Portland keeps getting reminders that electing officials is supposed to come with a baseline of judgment and accountability.
Councilor Mitch Green’s resurfaced posts—later acknowledged by Green himself—show a former elected official describing “pure hatred” for Portland police and making other inflammatory statements.
That might have been dismissed as old social-media venting—if it were an isolated incident.
It isn’t.
Green has since faced scrutiny over an unpaid $7,328 property-tax bill and a backyard fire started during a citywide burn ban.
At some point, the pattern matters.
Portlanders deserve councilors who understand that words have consequences, rules apply to everyone, and public office requires judgment—not endless explanations after the next self-inflicted controversy.

When you vote Democrat in Oregon you are enabling the DSA. They hold many powerful seats in Oregon’s legislature. Non-DSA Democrats are afraid to oppose them.
Vote Republican if you want to prevent more socialism in Oregon (because what they’ve done so far isn’t working).
