@roddreher Agree I suppose but isn’t the black listing also what makes reading Houellebecq so fun? And what good is recognition from know-nothings, anyway
@aaron_renn UA will soon use A321XLRs on transatlantic routes. Exciting, because it opens routes like IAD-Toulouse, but the non-Polaris experience will be rough—3 lavatories exclusively in the back for 130 pax; challenging for narrow body too.
@still_hustling Good thing our city has temperate year round weather, a thriving entrepreneurial class, and flagship universities to overcome the public safety concerns. Oh wait… it has none of that.
@BradWilcoxIFS Love your stuff but telling a young UVA grad to move to Evansville, Indiana is a tough pill. Young ppl head to DC and NYC precisely because there are other young grads in proximity.
@aaron_renn Hicklibs. They are very self-conscious about their provincialism so overcompensate by proclaiming that rampant anti-social behavior is a fact of urban living.
@AMandoSch I once shared a room with an “elder.” Television constantly blaring. He would invariably expose himself to the young nurses each time they entered. Then a sycophantic social worker (male, so no exposure) came to meet with him and commented on how “wise” he was.
