If both are on the ballot, there”ll probably be few “loyalty” votes for Vance but a huge amount of “proven track record” votes for DeSantis.

Add to that, DeSantis has a family that their Republican base would like to see in the White House. Vance does not.

I don’t even like DeSantis but he’s actively DOING the work that benefits his supporters/base, while Vance is rarely seen, which is going to be a HUGE problem for Vance if DeSantis decides to run.
