@TonyPannWBAL It's nice to be someplace without a station on that rail line. For the first time in over 130 years of record-keeping, there was no winter in Tucson this year. Not a single night when the temperature dropped below 32 degrees. That train whistle sounds REALLY far away! 😁
Hey, @TonyPannWBAL , several people I know reported seeing green or bluish lightning during the storm yesterday. Any meteorological explanation for that?
Showing some solidarity with my friends back in #Baltimore who are still enjoying the best winter has to offer! Y'all final ready to disembark from the infernal @TonyPannWBAL snow train?
@AvaWBAL
@SnowintheKnow Thanks for putting your faith in me. It is, indeed, the nymph of a Spotted Lantern Fly. Despite being particularly pretty, it's very invasive and doesn't belong here. People are advised to squish them on sight. The adults will be out in droves before long!
@TonyPannWBAL ...It's the sunshine! The UV index out here is insane. The incredible strength of the Sun is what really makes uncomfortable. 105 in the shade really isn't bad. But 92 in direct sun here is soul-sucking.
