🚨EXCLUSIVE: A source close to Chelsea has revealed that Josh Acheampong is no longer considered untouchable this summer.

Chelsea are understood to have proposed a separate deal to Crystal Palace involving Acheampong while negotiations for Maxence Lacroix continue.

Palace previously informed Chelsea they would not sanction Lacroix's departure without first securing a suitable replacement.

Chelsea have therefore presented multiple options involving Acheampong, including:
• A straight loan
• A loan with an option to buy
• A loan with an obligation to buy

The same source also revealed that Xabi Alonso has specifically requested an experienced centre-back this summer. It is believed this is one of the reasons Chelsea are now seriously considering a move for John Stones, alongside their pursuit of Lacroix.

Crystal Palace are yet to respond to Chelsea's proposal, with talks still ongoing behind the scenes.
