AUTISTIC TRAITS PEOPLE DON’T TALK ABOUT ENOUGH:
overexplaining because you’re terrified of being misunderstood.
finding lying incredibly difficult, even when a tiny lie would make things easier.
sleeping terribly because your brain refuses to shut down.
rewatching the same comfort show until you practically know every line.
hating the feeling of being watched or perceived.
having an extremely strong sense of fairness and struggling when something feels deeply unjust.
there are so many autistic experiences that never make it into the usual list.
she still checks her phone again and again, even though she knows there won't be a message from that person.
she opens the old chat, reads the last conversation, types “I miss you,” and deletes it. Sometimes she types “Can we talk?” and deletes that too.
a song, a place, a random little thing can suddenly remind her of that person, and she feels the ache all over again. She doesn't tell anyone how often she checks the phone or how many times she almost reaches out.
She looks fine to everyone. She laughs, talks, works, and keeps going like nothing happened. But when the night gets quiet, she misses that person in all the little ways she never talks about.
She misses having someone to tell everything to, someone whose name used to make her smile.

if you’re the pattern-recognition type of neurodivergent, how freaked out are you watching all of this unfold while your brain keeps connecting dots nobody else seems to notice?
like… I really wish I could be wrong sometimes.
You can’t tolerate uncertainty when you have CPTSD. Uncertainty is a void that a traumatized brain floods with all the fears you have, whether you’re aware of them or not.
It feels like panic and extreme anxiety in your body that you desperately want to suppress and control, but you can’t. You try to escape into doing something or trying to soothe yourself, but it doesn’t go away. The more you try to control it, the more it persists.
