@giveashitnature Asters and goldenrod are late-season magnets for pollinators. Our yard is literally buzzing in Sept-Oct. The shade adapted species are among the best native plants for shadier areas. BEWARE, however, that rabbits love asters and will mow them to the ground if unprotected.

@Dr_TheHistories "Imported nursery stock" has done immeasurable damage to the American landscape, and continues to do so. The desire to have some exotic species is an absolute plague. Sadder is that people continue doing the same even when confronted with the damage caused.

@TheHost_ Don't do it if they are native trees, which will support a whole community of wildlife. If those are not native trees, consider replacing them with natives. Those solar panels take a back seat to a healthy and vibrant ecosystem.
