In response to 9/11, Canada launched Operation Yellow Ribbon diverting 255 American flights to Canada to which citizens voluntarily housed thousands of Americans.
Mark Carney: "Canada's response did not end there. When NATO invoked Article 5 for the first time in its history, only time in its history, An attack on one is an attack on all of us. 40,000 Canadians served in Afghanistan. 158 members of our armed forces were killed there. We lost a diplomat. We lost aid workers. We lost seven others. And Canadians welcomed them home, or honoured them rather, on the highways of heroes."
Dear Canada,
As we draw closer to the 25th Anniversary of 9/11, I'd like to
say - Thank you for taking in 33K travelers, including my parents, and crew members, who were stranded on 9/11 following the closure of US airspace.
Some of us will never forget your kindness.
Just booked the final three nights of my vacation in Quebec this summer. Looking forward to supporting my friends in Canada and spending more time in your great country. I apologize in advance for my wretched French.
While Trump threatens to invade Canada and his MAGA movement bullies and harasses Canadians and other US allies, Canadians are busy saving USians from burning alive.
Canadian air crews in Los Angeles risked their lives to save US civilians. #palisadesfire
There are many parts of @US_FDA that work extremely well. Neurology is not one.
Having worked in government I know that failed departments don’t get better without serious intervention.
They become paralyzed by fear and do things like this👇 https://t.co/GuEKPijhSL
Two of the most recognized soccer clubs in the world have joined the #EndALS movement. FC Barcelona and Manchester City are playing a game in August to raise awareness and funds for ALS research. Let's keep the momentum going!
When the director of No Ordinary Campaign started working on it, he looked me in the eyes and said, “You will be alive to see it.”
He was right.
And now it’s real. I hope you will check out the new site and share far and wide our story of hope made real.

#BREAKING: Since the pandemic started ~2,000 Canadians have died of ALS and another ~2,000 have been diagnosed with this disease.
The @GovCanHealth has not taken any steps to try and prevent these deaths .
It's Time.
People living with diseases are often as knowledgeable, if not more knowledgeable, then the doctors caring for them. Please, doctors, stop patronizing us and instead treat us as peers and partners in the fight. We can change the world together.
They say it is an old persons disease. I was 48.
They say it is a rare disease. 3 of my high school classmates have lost a parent to it. Now my family.
They say that now is not the right time. The US and UK just took bold, unprecedented action.
Let's go, Canada! #EndALS
