Shri Deepak Sharma, Trainer from GeM, conducted a training session on “GeM—New Features and Functionalities” at CCI Branch Office, Sirsa, on 15.09.2026 under the Capacity Building Programme of the Preventive Vigilance Campaign https://t.co/39CcTrxhWN was conducted in an online mode for the remaining employees of CCI.
It was attended by officials of Head Office and Branch Offices who participated enthusiastically in the interactive session .It provided an excellent platform to the participants for resolution of GeM-related queries . They appreciated the valuable insights shared during the session on the latest features and functionalities available on the GeM portal.
Turning Cotton stalk into Climate Action! 🌱
Taking forward the MoU signed on the occasion of CCI’s Foundation Day, Shri Lalit Kumar Gupta, CMD, Cotton Corporation of India (CCI), held a meeting with representatives of CITI, ICAC and MERAGO to advance discussions on carbon sequestration through biochar produced from cotton stalks.
The initiative seeks to transform cotton residue into a valuable resource—creating new economic opportunities for farmers, enhancing soil health, generating carbon value, reducing residue burning and contributing to climate-change mitigation.
From an MoU to meaningful action—from cotton stalk to carbon value—CCI, CITI is advancing a circular, climate-smart and sustainable pathway for Indian cotton.

‘Designer Atelier’ Exhibition-cum-Sale showcasing India’s rich textile heritage, traditional craftsmanship and contemporary designs is being held from 12th September to 1st October 2026 at Central Cottage Industries Emporium, Janpath, New Delhi.
