Deflation in whatever form cannot be afforded by central banks. It’s complete destruction of wealth and *increases* the debt problem (they want to inflate the debt away)
They will do whatever is in their power (which is really only interest rate as a lever) to control deflation
That lowering will lead to a massive bubble and degeneracy peaking, if they fail, we enter the Great Depression II.
Another important framework that people ignore is in a deflationary environment, cash *increases* in value. We haven’t mentally digested the implications of that.
This is such doomsday porn. There will be displacement yes but what if.. agents are just new browsers? More intelligent, but still a new browser.
Completely skips the part where central banks won’t let deflation go through, they will fight it till the end with zirp and negative interest rates. We know what happens then.
I spent 100 hours over the past week researching, writing and editing the piece we just put out.
It’s a scenario, not a prediction like most of our work. But it was rigorously constructed, dismissing it outright requires the kind of intellectual laziness that tends to get expensive.
And we’ve released it for free. Hopefully you enjoy it.

I have been following the India Pakistan conflic and had someone share that they were disappointed in the outcome. My response to them is below and highlights how this has been a massive success for our armed forces and country:
Don’t be. This was a success and I try to keep my bias in check.
We killed the terrorist who slaughtered Daniel Pearl and was brother of India’s most wanted terrorist. We hit HQ and top leadership of both JeM and LeT.
We have likely lost two aircraft from the pics coming from Bathinda and Pampore. We will know on this soon.
We hit 11 air bases with impunity, including Nur Khan, heart of the Pak armed forces. This is a big. These were supposed to be fortressses, clearly not.
We also hit their hardened nuclear storage in Kirana hills, videos of this is are on twitter but you won’t see this acknowledged publicly. BIG.
One of their Squadron Leader was KIA. Along with 8-10 other airforce officers. No one will ask how is the tea now.
Brahmos & Scalp ALCM has been a massive success. PAF were helpless whilst we hit each airbase with impunity, albeit with a small demo of 1-2 strikes.
Our layered defence, holy moly, so impressive. This saved our ass big time, some people were clearly hard at work over these years. Dodging small drones using LH-70, Akash for medium, and Barak stopping Fatah ballistic missile at Sirsa before it hits Delhi. Wow.
BIG win all around. It will put us on track for drone warware, speed up our Rudram and 800km Brahmos range dev, along with Brahmos NG. Speed our MRFA acquisition. Also fast track acquisition of self propelled truck artillery.
And we had the last laugh, our doctrine has changed. Also they lost C-130/IL 76, also AWACs and (possibly other aircraft at Bholari). Satellite pics for former should be out tomorrow as they were not in hangars.
Also IWT continues to be in abyance and river development for our population will start soon.
Attrition is fine as long as we get something solid in return, we did, so much.
We also have access to quality specimens of PL-15E A2A missile that didn’t explode, that will allow us to reverse engineer the flagship A2A missile of Chinese.
The Chinese must be fearing Brahmos too, hotan and other forward air bases ain’t safe anymore. When Brahmos NG with 800-1k km range comes out, it’s game over for them to try any misadventure.
This has set a quality deterrent for them too, big win on that front as well.
Grateful to our armed forces and for the overall peace in the region. It’s hard earned.

Airtel has finally enabled Visual Voicemail in India and it works like a charm on iPhone. Transcripts also show up if the caller speaks in English. Life saver with the rise of spam calls.
