Everyone’s favorite thing on the internet right now is people from all over the world coming to the US for the World Cup and realizing that it’s actually pretty great.
That most of the people you encounter in the real world are welcoming and wonderful.
That the food is delicious, the experiences are unique and memorable, the stadiums are spectacular and so on.
That, despite its flaws (and there are plenty of flaws) the pros outweigh the cons.
But it took people actually being here to realize all of that, because social media, the news or word of mouth has painted a different picture.
I don’t find it to be any coincidence that this is happening in front of us right now, because we’ve never needed the reminder more.
Whether it’s the countries that these people are coming from, cities in our own country or even just different cultures inside the city you live in, most of the negativity you have been fed is BS.
And you won’t know that until you experience it for yourself.
Surround yourself with people who build and create — and your life will be great. Surround yourself with people who destroy and complain—and your life will suck. It’s actually that simple.
Allen had 39 touchdowns, 10 ints and a 102+ rating in just 16 games played. He averaged 29 points and 330 yards/game in the playoff's vs the top 2 defenses in the AFC.
And it's a "down year for Allen". No other QB in history gets judged like Allen does.
Watching the Avalanche in this entire series was like watching the Broncos in Super Bowl 48 against the Seahawks.
The highest scoring offense in football history looked totally out of sync against a defense which generated constant pressure and forced mistakes.
Well, you can't get your ass kicked any worse than the Avs did by the Golden Knights. What a way to end a season where Colorado was the hands down, clear cut, absolute best team in the NHL. Embarrassing.
