Finished seeing The Fantastic 4 & that film was mighty mid.
The few positives I have is the cinematography is gorgeous, the acting is solid & the plot is heart felt, but ultimately the movie fell on its face for me because it forgot to be fun.
It’s a super hero film & there’s not a single memorable action sequence in it. The family dynamics was weak too which is what the F4 is all about. I didn’t like the portrayal of Johnny Storm. What’s supposed to be a lovable asshole was turned into a straight cornball.
They never explored The Things insecurities, Reed hardly stretched until the end of the damn movie & Galactus is just a boring villain. I think they should have used someone more grounded for their first outing. Just felt like sequel bait or a setup for the next Marvel film.
I question the use of Franklin Richards to drive the plot as well. As a comic fan I know the significance of that baby, but I’d imagine the casuals are confused on why that baby was driving so much of the plot until the very end and even still the payoff at the end wasn’t great.
This wasn’t the worst thing I’ve ever seen but you can honestly wait until it hits streaming. Idk what all them 8.5 reviews was about from mainstream media?!
We did not watch same movie. This was hard to watch after seeing Superman 😭
6.5/10

TMZ obtained an audio recording from attorney Buzbee of Shannon Sharpe threatening to choke his accuser
"If you say that word one more time, I'ma f*****g choke the sh*t out of you when I see you."
The Rock really just exposed everything. There was no long term plan. There was no "20 steps ahead". There were no plans of him showing up or being involved in the Road to WrestleMania. "Selling his soul" just meant nothing at the end of the day. This could have all been done without him.
This was all just all done on the fly due to slow ticket sales for Elimination Chamber.
