@NEKR1D@MidaSponsordKit D2 launched back when Bungie was still under Activision, when they had a full time support studio (Vicarious Visions) working on pc optimisation.
@Aztecross Bungie was handling Destiny, Marathon, Gummy Bears, Payback and Matter at the same time. That's why they were underwater. They were overburdened and spread too thin precisely so the value could be inflated. "Imagine how much we'll be worth when these all launch profitably!"
@wadevstheworld@setokaiba_92 The npa repulsion regulator is stacked with void perks, especially around weaken:
Volatile Flow
Protective Breach
Overload Grenades
Supernova
Void Weapon Channeling
And soul Siphon and COTG gives six fragments. Weaken, suppression, unlimited volatile rounds and overshield!
@DSR_Joker #1 is because of #4. Bungie was insolvent BECAUSE management inflated the studio. Incubating 4 projects - Marathon, Gummy Bears, Payback, and Matter - while funding destiny, so they could give insane projected income numbers. They intentionally gambled the company for a payout.
@dankkepng I cannot tell you how many lost sectors I farmed using a subsistence/demo contraverse hold lock becuase with veist stinger you'd never let go of the trigger till the grenade came back. The sound of funnelweb is seared into my brain!
@horsepower I have used a 55" C9 as my main screen since 2020. Including use as a TV, this thing has averaged 5-6 hours a day the whole time. Not a single sign of burn in even with ABL turned off in the service menu. And that's way before all the modern improvements in panel life. Go ahead!
@FilippoTarpini My biggest gripe! I tell anyone I can that a monitor upgrade is more important than the gpu. The screen is the last step of the display chain. Increased render settings hits a wall when the thing you're looking at can't show it properly. I'll never use a non OLED again.
@julhat@jdaykin I can promise you that the reason you think this is because they moved away from clothes only my grandma would wear. They pivoted hard to young professionals and make good clothes.
@lauriewired Outside of the physical material properties, I think it's due to electromigration. Rule of thumb is every 10 degrees hotter halves the expected lifespan. Even if we could solve stability at temps, but we'd still want it to run cooler, because these things are warrantied for years
