Not sure what to make of it really. A draw seemed a fair result, but I felt thistle needed to take a lead into the 2nd leg to stand any chance at promotion.
All to play for on Monday
PSA: Looking for people to send in comical stories from LAN events (doesn't matter what event they are). If you are happy to share them & don't mind them potentially be slightly edited for something without your name then please email tom [at] epiclan . co . uk :)
@GoggsyNineNine It's actually the most honest one if you think about it.
Bad managers get sacked. Bad strikers and goalies get benched. But bad referees carry on, as if their fuck ups never happened.
They're absolutely right, the reactions really couldn't be more contrasting
It's safe to say, in the eyes of the neutral, Hearts won the league tonight.
Even if Celtic do beat them to the top, I doubt many will accept it. This has become a tainted title, one that was decided less by the players on the pitch, but the officials off of it.
@kieran_ashton1 I love Twitter's auto caption function. I'm not sure how it turned "the place I'll always call my home" into "the police are so vile" but I approve the new lyrics
Online gaming discourse has been fascinating the last few weeks, hasn't it?
You've got people arguing you can be a fan of a game despite having never played it, while simultaneously arguing you can't claim to hate a game if you haven't played it.
Strange one, that...
To be fair, all 6 English teams making it to the Last 16 of the Champions League, but none of them making the QFs might actually be the funniest thing that could ever happen in football.
1/2 Today’s match at Ibrox between the Ugly Sisters represents everything I detest about football - and why the fans of the rest of Scottish football have such a massive dislike of these two clubs.
What fans of these two clubs watch and the reasons many of them support their respective clubs bears zero resemblance to all the reasons why I love football. For me it’s about supporting my club through thick and thin but also respecting the clubs we play - and their fans. If we win, we celebrate and enjoy the moment. If we lose, we get over it and credit our opponents - no team should expect to win every single week. After Saints lost 1-0 at home to Dunfermline the other week, I was gutted as I walked back to my car. A couple of Dunfermline fans were walking along with me and we had a good chat and a bit of banter about the game. As we reached our cars we shook hands and wished each other all the best for the rest of the season. Respect for each other and our teams. That is normal and how everyone I know who follows different clubs behave. For me, football is about community and the hugely positive impact the local football team and its fans can bring. Whether it’s supporting Foodbanks or those suffering from terminal illness, clubs and their fans do so much good - and I love that about this sport. I’ve seen so many fantastic examples of this in my travels this season at every level in Scotland and elsewhere in Italy, Germany, Spain, and South America.
