Ms Ashlesha Goswami, Research Scholar in the Department of Sanskrit, Gauhati University, has received an Encouragement Award and a Certificate for Outstanding Research Paper at the Svargīya Shri Ghanshyām Bimali Memorial Awards 2025, held at Miranda House, University of Delhi, from December 4 - 6, 2025.
She presented her paper titled 'Managing Desires and Emotions: A Comparative Study of Maslow’s Theory of Self-Actualization and the Upanishadic Idea of Self-Realisation'. The award was given during the 29th India Conference of the Wider Association for Vedic Studies (WAVES), organised in collaboration with the Department of Sanskrit, Miranda House.
Returning to her alma mater for this Conference made this recognition even more special for her.
She is currently pursuing her research under the supervision of Prof Sudeshna Bhattacharjya, Department of Sanskrit, Gauhati University.
