Joburg Water is now back on site attending to the burst pipe on Puttick Avenue.

A number of fire hydrants have been opened in the surrounding network to help drain water from the system, allowing the team to isolate the affected section and proceed with the repair.

Residents may therefore notice water flowing from hydrants in the area. This is part of the repair process and not an additional burst.

Residents in Sundowner, Boskruin, Randpark Ridge and Northgate may continue experiencing low water pressure or no water supply while work continues.

Puttick Avenue and C.R. Swart Drive remains closed, and motorists are advised to use alternative routes.
