Surge and Kit will receive their own story arc in the mainline IDW series!

The fact has been confirmed at the end of the Sonic the Hedgehog IDW comic 89 via an answer to a fan’s letter. The quote:

“…if you're a fan of duo arcs, you're in luck! Tangle and Whisper get their own, and then it's on to Surge and Kit!”

The Tangle and Whisper arc is expected to span across issues 92 and 93, so the next duo should come after that.
