The Trump assassination attempt was a good test of the reporting on X vs traditional media.

I followed the event through both, and I can say that I was way better informed by the media than X.

Elon and co attacked the media for their cautious headlines, but that’s what it was: caution. As more information came, all credible media clearly stated what happened. Someone tried to kill Trump.

But on X, you had everyone jumping to conclusions. Elon blaming secret service and antifa before having all the details.

He says that antifa should be labeled a terror group if the shooter is found to be part of it. Will he now call for the Republican Party to be labeled a terror group now that we know the shooter was a gun nut GOP card holder? Of course not.

Elon is lost to culture wars. He is addicted to social media. I had some hope he would see it and get out of it, but he bought the whole thing. He is like a meth addict who bought a meth lab.
