Las Vegas black gangs haven't really held to traditional turf and colors since about 2006 on. These versions are just reincarnated versions of Squad Up, Wood, HTO, etc.

#LasVegas City parking put a cite on my Crown Vic one morning years ago outside of court because I was parked in an area that some city planner deemed necessary for food trucks. The picture is a hilarious look at how stupid that was.
I was once told a pretty cool story about the City of Las Vegas parking enforcement sleds. The old city jail/court was located at 400 E. Stewart. Parking was beyond limited and we (officers) had to quite often invent parking spots under the freeway. Then LVMPD Officer Ruben Hood (R.I.P.) explained that he once had to park by one of the freeway pillars to make it in to court. He came out to a city parking ticket ON HIS PATROL CAR! He spoke with the "meter maid" as he described who would not budge.
Pissed off, Ruben went to briefing then went right down to the 4th street area and found a city parking enforcement sled double parked in the street. He proceeded to cite the sled and get a tow truck for it. The parking enforcement official came out of whatever building he was in and yep, it was the same guy.

Phone calls were made, Ruben got in trouble and had to void the ticket. But a legendary story from the old days of LVMPD.

Chaos in Buffalo..
Buffalo police responded to an incident on September 3, 2026, involving a man on a roof near Claire Street and Clinton Street. Officers tried to talk down the distressed man who threatened to jump. Buffalo police gave the man two tall-boy Twisted Teas while attempting to de-escalate the situation. The man chugged the teas but didn’t come down.
A separate physical fight broke out among bystanders on the ground.

Inside the LVMPD TOC (Tactical Operations Center) August 2018. View of the front door to an apartment in Naked City across the street from the Stratosphere. A wanted murder & sexual assault suspect tried to kill me the night before by shooting out the front door towards me as I was positioned behind the patrol SUV in the video on the screen. The subject barricaded for more than 12 hours and was eventually killed by SWAT after entry. This event will highlight multiple shortcomings in how the LVMPD failed to help or assist officers who only "almost" got shot. This event spun a web of crap that eventually lead to my retirement after 20 years. This event is the pinnacle story in my book.
Police officer suicide rates are 54% higher than civilians. Officers are 1.7 times more likely to die by suicide than by line‑of‑duty causes.

Yeah, so this was a disaster. MS 13 had no territory and were not active in the valley for 2 reasons; other gangs wouldn't let them and enforcement/intelligence activities from the LVMPD Gang Unit prior to decentralization. Which he even slipped and admitted at that time "Lombardo claimed in the past that MS-13 didn’t have a large footprint in the Las Vegas Valley and that he still believes that." That's because they didn't. I can assure anyone of that and most know that I was one of very few Hispanic gang experts in the valley. But I was busy working a case where a friend of the sheriff had a garden gnome stolen. I kid you not. That was a real case that was assigned to me that I had to drop a double shooting for as a now decentralized general detective.

2 years of no one working on them, looking for changes in intelligence, etc., allowed MS 13 to move in and violently enforce drug debts, etc.

Biggie and BadBoy paid Southside Compton Crips for protection when they were in California. SSCC killed Tupac. Mob Piru retaliated against SSCC. Biggie or more to the point Diddy defaulted and stopped paying for said protection causing conflicts of interest.

There was a time when 28th Street was the largest Hispanic gang in Las Vegas. One of the few homegrown gangs here. Started in the late 1970's as the Eastside Kingsmen. Grew to near 1,000 members in the late 1990's.

Had an active and bloody war with San Chucos from North Las Vegas throughout the late 80's and 1990's. Majority of both gangs attended Rancho High School which lead to numerous acts of violence in and around the school. 28th St and parts of San Chuco aligned in the prisons as Nevada Trece at the time for protection from Surenos/La Eme as shown in the 2nd pic with "NV X3"

The graffiti that I documented here around 2012 in east LV was unique as it reads "kill cops" & uses the LVMPD radio code for murder/homicide "420".

Initially appear that they are too close for NMI in the video. Curious to see what the exact distance was.

Bigger issue is, to me anyway, does NYPD not have LL shotguns in the cars? Does no one have access to a 40MM?

Pretty ridiculous to see that many officers arrive on this kind of incident and no one grabs a LL weapon other than tazer. But more ridiculous if those tools are not options.

Mob James, a Mob Piru Blood gang member from Compton & Suge Knight affiliate did his best to not implicate Keffe D in the Tupac murder, but by doing so, he confirmed to everyone that Keffe D was involved.
