Buying a #usedcar? You can complete an ex-taxi search in less than 60 seconds at #VehicleAncestry! Available to dealerships, private sellers and buyers.
@ConsumerCodes Whilst fully behind everything trading standards stands for they themselves are making a false claim? Using a business from the Consumer Codes Approval Scheme "will" protect you from unfair practices. I could buy a similar car to this from an approved garage. Code UPDATE req?
@ConsumerCodes This is not fully correct I've been trying to speak with the motor ombudsmen to point out that there are accredited car dealers who are selling undeclared ex-taxis/Uber for years!!! which breaches trading standards guidlines & CPR's - head and bury springs to mind.
@ConsumerCodes @Motor_Ombudsman How can a CTSI & The Motor Ombudsmen allow their valuable Logos to be used to accredit dealers selling this type of vehicle?
when a simple check would highlight the issue!
Your code needs reviewing surely?
@ComplainingCow Do I need to do a Video?๐ I'm just investigating a deal at the moment and I'll share it with you in the next 24hrs hopefully Tip of a huge Iceberg
@ConsumerCodes #Consumercodes is a great Idea however when you tell #themotorombudsmen that their approved dealers are advertising & selling undeclared ex business use cars/extaxi/Uber they don't do anything. I thought that the code was to make car buying more open transparent and honest.
@PhilipN_Auto Vehicle Ancestry has always believed that a data driven approach to car buying should never be under estimated...Our data was searched more than 138,000 times last month ๐
@CarDealerEd But which one sells the most undeclared ex private hire/Uber vehicles, not just on their websites but through the car auctions?
Vehicle Ancestry the home of ex Private hire/Taxi/Uber cars...Avoid being taken for a Ride!
@CarDealerEd You're right Robert Forrester No One should EVER fear "Thugs" and it's right to report them. However will you also speak out on those big dealers who are selling ex Uber cars to honest public buyers? Which is in breach of CPR's and trading standard guidlines?
@VertuMotors With almost 100k savvy lookups per month of our ex taxi database, chances are that those who don't use Vehicle Ancestry will buy more previously licensed Ubers. Vehicle Ancestry helping the motor trade spot an ex taxi since 2017.
Not all ex-taxis or private hire vehicles look the sameโ๏ธ
โ ๏ธMany of these cars are part exchanged, brought and sold without EVER having their license history checked
The trade devalue ex-taxis by 20%! Meaning YOU COULD save thousands!

@mikebrewer Great tips, but don't forget how useful our services were to you when we spotted you selling ex-taxis. Even the most experienced wheeler dealer can get duped!
@Lawgistics_UK Whilst the decision on the face of things appears to bring some clarity for motor traders, It does suggests a different outcome may have been reached If It could be proved that the vehicles value had been affected by its previous use...Maybe ex taxis and L driver vehicles?
@deandunham hello Dean is it right that thousands of hard working consumers are being duped in to buying ex taxis, ยฃ30k Mercedes, ยฃ20k Toytas being sold on franchised dealers forecourts? The industry devalues these cars by 20%...And they won't check even...David Vehicle Ancestry
