Dancehall star Spice, through her Grace Hamilton Foundation, delivered a full truckload of building materials to a young mother in Bethel Town, Westmoreland who lost her home during Hurricane Melissa.
“Building back Jamaica one house at a time,” Spice wrote, noting that the truck, packed with more than 1,000 blocks, cement, steel, ply board and nails, was donated to give the mother a fresh start.
In the video, a man shared his willingness to help: “Listen, I will do everything. I will try to get people. I will pay the workmen. I just need the help.”
Spice comforted the tearful mother, urging her to hold on to faith: “I’m going to give you one truckload that can build back this house… Continue to praise God. He is the one showing up for you. I was homeless myself, that’s why I’m doing this. If I can do it, you can do it too. You’re going to build back stronger.”
The clip ends with her 2024 song You Are Worthy playing, a message of hope matching the moment.
