Vela Labs

Camera flashes are far too slow. We're fixing that.

[Vela Labs @VelaLabs]

@percramer Sorry about that. I just checked and can’t see anything that looks like it’s from you since April. Can you drop me another email and I’ll get back to you on Weds when we’re back from break?

[Vela Labs @VelaLabs]

We’re huge fans of Camera Axe here at Vela, and they have a new version crushing it on Kickstarter right now. It should be perfect with the Vela One. Well done @MauriceRibble. https://t.co/BFjWSjVSPh

Great post by @TrevorMahlmann on how he set up his remote cameras to shoot the @SpaceX launch. https://t.co/a0oCW7VdSG

New Vela Pop triggers are now tested and on track to ship this week.

Mark Nicholas used two Vela One flashes to capture this amazing shot of a bullet tumbling as it leaves the barrel. https://t.co/wdwnwCLpIN

[Vela Labs @VelaLabs]

When your launch is delayed for the 3rd time you'll be glad of the Vela Pop trigger's week+ battery life. @spacex

[Vela Labs @VelaLabs]

Both also have cool new packaging too.

[Vela Labs @VelaLabs]

The next batch of Vela Pop has big changes. Faster, more reliable. Better for high-speed and launch photos. Going to manufacture next week.

[Vela Labs @VelaLabs]

Two big bits of Vela news! The Vela One enclosures are now finished, so assembly starts Monday. Will have a shipping date next week.

[Vela Labs @VelaLabs]

So excited by the successful test at Cape Canaveral last night. I'm referring of course to the new Vela Pop firmware

[Vela Labs @VelaLabs]

Happy to say I’ve just placed orders with the factories for a new batch of Vela One flashes! Should be shipping in Feb.

[Vela Labs @VelaLabs]

This morning I flashed a Vela One half a million times with no drop in luminance.

[Vela Labs @VelaLabs]

…and it’s gone! Sorry if you missed it. We'll open pre-orders once we have an idea of delivery dates. Sign up to the mailing list to hear.

[Vela Labs @VelaLabs]

Your absolute last chance. We have ONE FLASH LEFT and it's $100 off. No more after that until the batch in 2016. https://t.co/mwoTy32jr8
