Remember the day I made a post calling out people who drive out of church on Sundays without offering a lift to those obviously heading their way?

There was actually a reason for that post. As I was leaving church that day, I noticed an elderly man standing by the church entrance and waving at a Lexus RX 350 that was driving out.

The driver didn't stop, instead he sped off and splashed water on the old man. I almost chased after him, but to what end?

Normally, I pick at least three people whenever I'm driving home from church. But that day, I picked only him and drove him all the way to his house.

On getting home, I found out his wife is also elderly and battling severe arthritis. She's no longer strong enough to move around much, so he's the one still managing to come to church.

All he needed was a little encouragement to strengthen his faith. But unfortunately, even church people failed him.

When I dropped him off, he prayed for me, and I promised to check up on him once in a while. Sometimes, they just need to know they haven't been forgotten.
