@boymonster Not to invalidate your frustrations, but it's a canon event for me, too! Cortex helped me get through the pandemic and is still blowing my mind as I slowly digest it over the years. I don't want to slip into exultant hyperbole, but it's a great work.
I bought it used, though. π€·π»ββοΈ
@iamchiomaa_ Oh, do you mean what do I want from women? Same thing I want from dudes. Just don't be shy. Do a little theory of mind, ie try to understand how I'm feeling. I'll tell you, but it's nice to be asked. It's really nice to be asked.
If you don't have time, don't ask.
@iamchiomaa_ A study full of books with a nice wood desk, a large dining room for entertaining company, a weekly potluck & games night at my place, neighbors who smile and say "good morning" back, a union, and the ability to focus on a personal project for days and weeks until it's done.
@JustinaRevolut1 The Lich who just wants to be left alone has, to that end, tasked his lieutenants with the establishment and maintainance of a stable of test subjects. This they do tactlessly, sending their skeletal underlings to scour the countryside to harvest the living. It's misalignment.
@tznkai@macademician I really enjoyed running a couple mixed scale combat encounters in @FFGames' Star Wars, from which their Genesys system derived, and I'm looking forward to running their upcoming Twilight Imperium setting from @edge_english, but if you want crunch Traveller doesn't neglect scale!
@TheEdVerse We love to see it! Part of me knew you were simply excited about the project, and had overlooked the tweet. This video shows a lot of character; it doesn't surprise me at all that you support of "safe spaces." We NEED them to explore themes of violence in our beloved hobby.
@KraftyMattKraft I am being too much of a contrarian with you. When I DM, I wish the players would read the book. When I'm a player, I wish I didn't have to. Not sure this is a perfectly symmetrical tension, but when I'm running games I've come to accept that players won't have done any homework.
@KraftyMattKraft I've got Archives of Nethys for that but, frankly, I'm solidly in the "make a ruling and move on" camp. Once the game is afoot, I don't want to disrupt immersion by cracking a 'pedia. Not even between sessions, frankly. I like players to jump "fiction first" into the narrative.
@KraftyMattKraft Pathfinder 2e.
Frankly, I've seen the book and it's huge! I wouldn't know where to start; I normally like to read them cover-to-cover. I'm just not thrilled at the prospect of memorizing a catelogue of multifarious gadgets.
