@13HerbH It was one of Cashman's worst moves to give him the qualifying offer. He could have let Jones play center and used the money for a veteran outfielder and another relief pitcher.

@MarcMalusis the reason Yankees did not resign Weaver was he got 11 mil per year for 2. Cashman did not want to go that high on set up man. U can argue they should have not have qualified Grisham and used that money for a less costly RP, an outfielder and a R hitting catcher.
