@D4hz4hn I also think some of the old lantern corps could do with some redesigns? Like make the Red Lanterns cool demon knight guys. Make Attrocitus more demonic, play up the magic element of their origin, have them be questing for the Starheart?

@GunnerDobbins An Infrared Lantern who's powers are entirely instinct, can't make constructs but while he's around everyone else's constructs become fuzzier, harder to maintain!

There's like a dozen really cool ideas there, but the desire to make these guys like GL makes them boring.

@GunnerDobbins I also think that you could do interesting stuff with the invisible light spectruum but it has to be interesting?

The X-ray lantern as a being of pure logic! His attacks pierce regular constructs with ease, but the moment he becomes emotional all his powers go away.

And I do think you could do cool stuff with Bizarro but it feels like one of those "Oops we've over stuffed our cast" issues.

@D4hz4hn @RedLReviews The main issue is that I do think that there's stuff I would immediately change, but also I do think a lot of the iconic elements are things I wouldn't change.

Like I'd still want to keep Superboy, Steel, and Eradicator.

Reign is held back a lot by the post-crisis continuity. Cyborg Superman is clearly a Metallo take but because Metallo was already running around he's not available.

I think Bizarro was dead as well...

You basically work in a Golden Age Superman period in between Superman's first real return and his disappearance as Superboy.

Eventually ending with Lois Lane publishing her big Superman story that reintroduces him to the world after he's done something very public.

See part of my insane take for the DC universe if I was reworking it, is that I'd want to write it from a "No one believes in Superheroes" angle. Like after WWII all the JSA members are replaced by actors playing the roles and exposed as hoaxes.

This is my only real issue with the classically understood Superboy is that I genuinely feel like Lois's role in mediating superman's relationship to the public is an essential part of the character

With Superboy, he shows up, he's the hero of a small backwater town, and he shows up on a couple newspapers on a wider scale but most people assume he's a tourist attraction instead of a real hero.

Then he vanishes and everybody just nods because they're expecting it.

I feel like I haven't seen anyone talk about how good the new Jinx costume is. Like I don't know if it's appeared before but I think it's a really solid costume that does a good job of merging the TV show and traditional comics looks.

Like TROS sucks because it undermines Kylo's arc and a lot of the other stuff TLJ does.

Again the idea that the Kents are the ones who found superman (as opposed to a random couple who adopted him) isn't introduced till 48.

Multiple other pieces of Superman Lore also make appearances way later.
