In Ireland, during more civilised times, Holly was regarded as a "crann uasal", a gentle tree, deeply loved by the fairy folk 🌲🧚🏻
To misuse a branch of Holly for mundane tasks, such as brushing floors or cleaning a chimney was seen as incredibly disrespectful and an insult unlikely to be forgotten, and maybe also unlikely to be unanswered, by those we cannot see 🪄🔥
I is one of the Seven Nobles of Ireland, prized for it's incredibly hard wood and evergreen leaves that helped sustain livestock through Winter, and simply damaging a Holly tree or bush on another's property would invoke a heavy fine.
And today is the last in the Lunar Month of Holly before we step into the reign of the wise Hazel. Your own Tree Calender may read differently but in what world should rigid rules be applied to such a thing ? 🌙
So if you pass a Holly tree today say hello and wish it the very best 🙏🏻🍒

Ladies & Gentlemen, we present to you the largest single trunk live oak in the whole universe 😮🌳
The tree lives in Iron City Georgia, which didn’t exist when the tree germinated, & nor did the US
Oops..a kind followers just pointed out I forgot to add the photo on my post yesterday. I was rushing and totally messed it up. 😂 Anyway, here is yesterday's photo!
