@DanielE298475@WhiteHouse Therefore, stand not upon the promises of men, but upon the foundation that does not bend — the law of liberty and the covenant of the Republic.
And the voice cried out again: “Righteousness exalteth a nation: but sin is a reproach to any people.” (Proverbs 14:34)
@DanielE298475@WhiteHouse A voice rose among the people, saying: “Put not your trust in princes, nor in the son of man, in whom there is no help.” (Psalm 146:3)
@DanielE298475@WhiteHouse And in the days of confusion, when truth was scarce in the land, the people cried out for guidance. For many leaders spoke swelling words of vanity, yet their hearts were far from righteousness.
@DanielE298475@WhiteHouse None of what I said was religious, stay on topic please.
You know nothing about my personal faith, nor were we discussing religion.
I speak as Publius, a former-Republican, now unaffiliated citizen who still believes in small government, fiscal prudence, and the Constitution.
But what I see today is a movement that calls itself conservative while burning through your tax dollars on failed lawsuits, blocked policies, and personal vendettas.
This is not the Republican Party I was raised in.
• Border Wall Funding: Courts struck down the diversion of Pentagon funds after Congress refused full appropriations. Millions in government resources spent — for a policy ruled unlawful.
• Election Lawsuits: Dozens of post‑2020 lawsuits filed and lost. State and federal courts rejected nearly all claims. Public resources consumed for cases that produced no evidence and no victories.
• Tax‑Record Litigation: Years of legal battles to block release of tax returns — including a $10 billion lawsuit against The New York Times. Courts dismissed the claims. Government time and resources wasted.
• Emoluments Cases: Multiple suits alleging unconstitutional financial gain. All dismissed on procedural grounds. Years of litigation, no wins, no clarity, no benefit to the taxpayer.
• Regulatory Reversals: Policies overturned or blocked by courts — immigration orders, funding diversions, and administrative actions struck down for violating statutory limits.
Republicans once stood for limited government, constitutional restraint, and responsible spending.
Now we watch millions in public resources burned on self‑serving battles, personal grievances, and policies that collapse under judicial review.
This is not conservatism. This is not prudence. This is not my Republican Party.
If we are truly the party of the Constitution, then someone must stand up and say: Stop wasting our tax dollars on personal crusades. Start governing like conservatives again. Do you realize the waste of tax dollars on these personal grievances has costed us billions that could actually MAKE OUR COUNTRY GREAT. Don't speak of prudence and priorities when our leader spends our money fighting his personal grievances. Then the audacity is most of these fail, are blocked by federal judges, or are overturned, as they line the oval office with Gaudy Gold Trim everywhere. Your arguments have no teeth!!!
Publius
This is not about me. I have two large full service restaurants. This is literally what 47% of Americans are dealing with and that is verified by wait for it.... FACTS! my employees, some of your neighbors possibly. Personally, I don't drink, or smoke, I am beyond frugal. Not one impressed by brands or trends.
