This is a big issue most are unaware of. Nothing in the history of evolution has ever prepared birds for glass.

There’s no object in nature like it. Birds perceive it as a clear flight path and die in staggering numbers.

At https://t.co/oc0gZq9NSh we have large Swedish windows and have discussed solutions with advocates. Luckily, simple mosquito screens are an easy low cost solution.

For large buildings architects need to first design with less glass and make their buildings more energy efficient. Second, all glass should incorporate bird safe patterns. This takes creativity but can offer humans both beauty and clear views, while reducing our brutal attack on nature.
