Regardless of what happens in game 7, this series has showed the world everything we knew about Shai. He’s regular if that whistle isn’t blowing every 5 seconds for him.
I’ve talked plenty about how absurd the Shai on/off numbers are.
But maybe this is the better question:
If defense mattered enough to hold Luka back…
Through the playoffs, OKC has been 20.4 points per 100 possessions better defensively with Shai OFF the floor.
Why does OKC suddenly become the 2004 Pistons when he sits?
What a load of crap.
Don't gaslight the fans for what they see in SGA - a supposed MVP who falls and acts like he got hit by a truck upon every single contact.
Every single one. Dude acts like he's 150lbs and literally can't handle any physicality whatsoever. This isn't about the number of calls he gets, this is about the dishonest way he plays the game.
If you want the blame to go on someone in their coaching staff for getting all their players to play like weasels to cheat refs to sell every call, you can do that, but don't tell the fans they are corny for expressing what they see.
Game WORST -28 in a crucial Game six: The most fraudulent MVP in the history of the NBA.
The media should be ashamed of themselves as to what they did to Luka.
Back to back MVP and he can’t give us one signature playoff run or performances.
He’s championed by that supporting cast around him and it’s ok to admit that
The results already told us the MVP award is narrative driven.
So maybe it’s worth understanding who controls the narratives.
Thinking about doing deep dives on every voter listed here:
Backgrounds. Experience. Voting history.
Interested?
I have no idea how to compute Luka s blacklisting from MVP discussion and votes. I dont wanna sit on this app and talk about Silly conspiracy théories but i also think it s absolutely insane how many people dédicate so much energy to undersell him and making up false narratives
Everyone knows I’m a huge Luka fan . I would’ve probably given him 2nd .. 3rd vote not egregious. But Ramona and LA media are so soft . All the Boston and NY boys give zero effs and vote like homers but LA media think they have some high moral compass
Luka first 10 games -unreal
Next 20 games he was above average, sucked for 2 weeks in December.
January POTM, March April BITW level.
Considering Lakers injuries and how shitty roster was, no excuse for LA media not to vote Luka as no.1
