Dear @Costco - Over 2 million people have seen this post now, many commenting that they are buying one.
What do you think about donating one to my school for teachers to use in class?
Pretty pleeeease?
Hi, I’m Vernae
I’m an educator, instructional coach, author, and podcaster—but before all of that, I’m a mom, a wife, and someone deeply committed to helping kids and families thrive through literacy, emotional intelligence, and mindful learning.

Thank you, Principal Ogbonna for your dedication, leadership, and unwavering commitment to our school communty. Your guidance inspires us all to strive for excellence. We appreciate everything you do! 💙✨ #PrincipalAppreciationDay@D12SupRosado
I used these religiously when I began teaching in the early 2000s.
Sounds wild, but didn’t even make the connection that I have been utilizing your methods and strategies for over 20 years! 🙌🏾🔥🫶🏾
I’m so glad people are finally having this discussion. I wrote 2 books in the early 2000s about teaching text structure and using structure to help summarize. It has been so helpful for students. Yay!
THINGS I WISH I KNEW BEFORE BECOMING A TEACHER
1 I won’t be able to use the restroom whenever I need to
2 I shouldn’t spend my own money
3 I will rarely finish my cup of coffee
4 My salary will not increase each year
5 I shouldn’t assign the problems that have the answer 69
6 I should say ‘NO’ more often
