@AnfieldSector@FabrizioRomano New:
They’ve also exposed that nobody knows what they’re doing behind the scenes. Not a single supporter on my feed said this player was a must have OR any reporter close to the club. Don’t be a pawn for engagement.
Let them cook.
@AnfieldWatch EVERY summer my feed is filled with questions about the same rotating 4 players despite the fact that history shows we probably won’t sign any of them and the signings we do get are players nobody has mentioned.
Coincidence?
@AnfieldLounge@reluctantnicko It’s funny to me that there’s a subset of supporter who believes these signings are the ONLY option. Despite the fact that they aren’t. This player will be replaced by a bargain and sold for another 100m.
@chomakovg Admitting to yourself you don’t want to be a pawn is one of the steps that leads you to a healthier lifestyle.
The amount of people who get worked up over stories that aren’t even real is wild.
Way to not be one of them
@AnfieldRd96 Agreed. I still don’t understand why with a club of our stature we’re not signing every young player with lightning pace and potential and loaning them to lower level clubs competing in Europa or CL and keeping the ones that have “it”.
@TouchlineX These stories are set up purely for engagement.
It’s no different than the same players being mentioned as potential signings who we were never interested in to begin with.
Stop being the pawn for ad revenue. The sun is out. Go enjoy it.
@AnfieldSector@IanDoyleSport I’ve made contact with my sources and they’ve said regardless if this is true or not, supports will feel entitled that this player must come to us and if it doesn’t happen the sky’s is in fact falling.
@Jack_LFC_1892 The same fans who said we’d never be able to keep with Chelsea when they got new owners and splashed the cash?
I couldn’t care less what any talking head says or predicts.
@Dom_Szoboszlai1 May have used it as leverage at the time based on conversations with Konate. They weren’t going to carry him konate and VVd while also having the kids cb they purchased.
They obviously felt they would eventually reach an agreement with konate
@Micks2B Every time I bring this up the only answer ever given is “it’s more complicated than that” or “they want to see them develop somewhere first”
As if loaning is never an option.
@Succedervictor He looked labored after coming back from injury. Was noticeably slow on the left. His touches were heavy all season but he still possessed the ability to cut in and curl in a goal. If he can improve on everything else, he could be a value.
Just feels unlikely to many.
@Succedervictor Grav isn’t a defensive mid. Not a fair comparison. He CAN play there but doesn’t have natural defensive skill set. Cuts lanes instead of putting a foot in for a tackle.
@AnfieldPapers I’m on with it because it would give a better excuse to sell gakpo.
I think gakpos only option would be to play striker. But this move is short term until everyone is back healthy.
