Consultation and workforce involvement does not have to be a bureaucratic process. In a small business, consultation can be informal, but you need to talk with your workers regularly and consider their views when you take decisions about health and safety.

We know that the workplace can be a source of stress for workers, but are you aware that occupational noise, even when it is not at a level that requires action to prevent hearing loss, can be a stressor. Be aware that its impact is usually in combination with other factors.
Reminder: All workplaces need an adequate supply of fresh air. This can be natural ventilation, for example from doors and windows, or a controlled supply, for example where air is supplied or removed by a powered fan.
