Whatever people think of Natalie Harp or the networks involved, removing a news organization from the White House pool raises a bigger question about press access. The public deserves transparency from both the government and the media. That’s worth debating without turning it into a partisan shouting match.

NEWS: CNN, MS NOW, and Politico have filed a joint federal lawsuit against the Trump administration over its BAN of their reporters from White House grounds, alleging a violation of their First Amendment rights.

They are asking a Washington, D.C., federal judge to IMMEDIATELY restore their reporters’ access to the White House grounds.

“This ban could not be a more direct assault on the First Amendment nor a more blatant violation of our most fundamental constitutional principles,” the lawsuit says.

Los Angeles has been increasing police resources in response to burglary concerns, but victims also deserve fast investigations and real protection during the rebuilding process.
