Yup, that’s why I’ve opted to be a “loner”, it’s much more peaceful that way. The amount of people who put aside their faith just to chase the bag and/or have fun and fit in with unbelievers is wild. The unspoken reality of the Christian creator community is how fragile it is. People block each other over trivialities, they leave behind friends while chasing fame, and even make moral exceptions for the brand.

I can count the remaining friends on my fingers--I hate it here.

@ShockRizal Exactly. Going into someone's home and mingling with their guests without even or ever saying hello to the home owner is a very odd behavior.

Throw in the factor that some of them act like they're trying to poach the guests to visit their house instead? Now that's an issue.

@AuregaliaAruri It's def a respecting way to enter a stream, like you're entering someone's home. You greet the streamer first, as a viewer.

Reoccuring patterns are also worth calling out for, because the community becomes aware also who are they interacting with, bad actors or not.

Tbh I've seen content creators come into my chat just to talk to my chatters, it happened every single time to the point where they wouldn't even acknowledge me anymore when they came into my chat, they would go straight to saying hi to my chatters and would derail the chat convo from the stream convo to whatever they wanted to talk about. I had to call them out eventually because it was getting to a point where it would disrupt my stream flow and distract my chatters from responding to me.
I've also had people come in my chat going "GLHF" on multiple streams when I'm literally ending my stream (with me already at the 'Thanks for coming' screen LOL) because they wanted to show their faces around my chatters and make their presence known to the viewers which shows me that they weren't even watching my content or what I was doing when they dropped by.
This happened in nearly every single stream I did, even more when I was an agency VTuber until I started being more vocal about my chat rules and etiquette.

So I get it if this streamer has people disrespecting them like this all the time causing them to react and lash out that way BUT I think it's still better to address it first before taking any actions just to let the room know what's going on.

PSA (and not saying OP didn't do this but) if you're a content creator visiting other people's chats, AT LEAST greet or acknowledge the streamer first before you say hi to their chatters. Show them that you're there for them or their content and not for their community.

I'm a VTuber but I'm also a fan of many VTubers. I do show up in chat with my VTuber account but I personally don't really acknowledge or respond to the chatters on other people's streams unless it aligns with the stream topic or if it contributes to what the streamer/host is talking about. I don't flood their chats with 'hellos' trynna respond to everyone who greets me, I don't make it about myself, I don't start personal convos, I don't ask people's chats "what did you have for lunch" or "what are you up to rn" when they're clearly watching the streamer. It's basic respect and common courtesy.

TLDR, when you're in people's chats:
Be respectful to your peers and your friends' streams.
Don't derail anyone's chat/stream topics.
If you're a viewer, act like a viewer, not a streamer.
If you're a friend, act like their friend, not a streamer.
The clout/fame chasing is not worth the respect lost by the people around you.
Practice good manners.

This isn't a diss to OP nor am I justifying the overreaction of the streamer in the post, I'm just letting people know what a streamer should or shouldn't do when they visit someone else's chat so we can all avoid a situation like this in the future regardless of which side you're on.
