Trail Blazers owner Tom Dundon wants taxpayers to pay the entire $600 million bill for the team's arena renovations.
“It feels like we’re making a pretty big investment by staying here and paying these tax rates," the billionaire said this week in Portland.
According to @thesteinline sources, Kawhi Leonard would consider signing an extension with only two teams outside the Clippers if trade talks ever materialized: San Antonio and Toronto.
That’s very different from saying the Spurs are pursuing Kawhi.
In fact, Marc Stein notes it’s unclear whether San Antonio has any interest in a reunion given how the relationship ended in 2018 and how well the franchise has flourished in the Victor Wembanyama era.
In other words, this is more about Kawhi’s preferred destinations than it is about the Spurs’ intentions.
