A WARNING TO THE TIMES: Tuesday, we will be returning to work, after a successful Election Week ULP Strike. We clearly demonstrated how valuable our work is to @nytimes. And now we’ll move our fight inside.
Welcome to day 5 of our ULP strike against the @nytimes. We just published even more strike games for you to play while you #Breakyourstreak. https://t.co/nZpCmnVbi8
@wongman2001 I admit I'm not playing Nodes these days, but it does look like plants growing through cracks in some bricks or tiles! Life, uh, finds a way!
Thank you to everyone honoring our NYT Games picket line and breaking your Wordle streaks! We're so grateful that made you a strike game! Play today's union-friendly connections here: https://t.co/xiizig4iNt
We are on ULP strike. We gave @nytimes management months of notice of our strike deadline, we made ourselves available around the clock, but the company has decided that our members aren’t worth enough to agree to a fair contract and stop committing unfair labor practices.
Good news!!! Someone recently sent me this site which recreates past Vertexes! For now, it seems like it's only playable on desktop, not mobile. To undo a move, hit backspace and to remove a line, right click it.

A note about this account: I'll be leaving it up for posterity and for anyone who'd like to go back and see past puzzles. I'm trying to figure out another way to share the archive in a more easily searched format. If anyone has website/coding experience, send me a message!
a side note on today’s final puzzle. if you’re new to vertex you may not know, but this is an homage to a puzzle from early 2020 by @NocaWu. it diverges in some ways to signify the progress and end of vertex, while also coming full circle.
sad to see it end. thanks to @samvonehren and the @nytimes designers for their work in creating vertex and for bringing me on to design puzzles. thanks to @thegridkid for so many amazing captions. a special thanks to everyone who made vertex part of their day. goodbye #vertex 🫡
@FrogPropGod @VertexArchive it is sentimental. it’s an homage to a puzzle from early on that came to be the background image of vertex for a while. the tail section is exactly the same except for the triangles separating which is meant to evoke the dissolution of vertex…
It's been a crazy ride, Vertexers 🙏 Thank you to @burgess for the beautiful puzzles. Thanks to all of you for creating this cool little community. We learned so much along the way! May we see each other again one day 🔺️🔻
