Muslims are right about one thing: Women should NOT have the freedom to travel
“Women travel the world for the same reason they go to college, for the same reason they do anything, which is to be a whore.”
A Trump appointed justice single-handedly upheld birthright citizenship.
No mass deportations, no border wall, no termination of birthright citizenship.
If Republicans can’t or won’t do anything about immigration then why vote for them?
BREAKING: Iran is now launching multiple drones and ballistic missiles at US military assets in Kuwait, shortly after Bahrain, in response to US strikes on southern Iran.
A source close to Iran's Ghalibaf says ''Iran is launching a massive drone and missile attack on U.S. bases and assets in the region.''
For those who don’t know Shapiro is referencing a problem in 1970s NYC when Hasidic landlords engaged in mass fire insurance fraud throughout the Bronx when they didn’t get the rent growth they wanted.
Such wonderful people.
BREAKING: US has launched massive attack, targeting Iranian military surveillance infrastructure, communication systems, air defense sites, drone storage facilities, and minelayer capabilities in response to Iran's attack on a Panama-flagged tanker carrying more than 2 million barrels of crude oil that was transiting near the Strait of Hormuz this morning, per CENTCOM.
BREAKING: The U.S. Military is currently conducting more strikes in the Strait of Hormuz area, per Axios.
This marks the second set of U.S. Military strikes since the “Memorandum of Understanding” was signed.
The issue with the current MOU status quo is that Iran believes that it secured the right to manage Hormuz and the US is acting like it didn’t.
The US is encouraging an Omani reroute around Iran (first dark, now in the open)
If Iran doesn’t challenge the reroute it loses control. It tried radio warning and then went to the main tool in its toolkit: drone strike a ship as a warning.
Now the US can’t let that stand—it initially looked like they would but I guess they were just waiting for markets to close—so it counterstrikes Iranian drone, missile, and radar facilities (i.e., the stuff Iran uses to control the Strait)
Now we wait to see what Iran does in response. If it does nothing, it continues to lose its claim to control of Hormuz. If it meaningfully retaliates it risks blowing up the MOU ceasefire and testing how war-averse Trump really is.
Someone’s gotta give in.
BREAKING: Iran's IRGC announces it has struck "multiple high value US Army positions in the region" in response to today's US strikes on Iranian coasts near the Strait of Hormuz, per Tasnim.
The IRGC adds that "according to Clause 5 of the Islamabad MoU, the arrangements for controlling passage and traffic in the Strait of Hormuz are under the authority of the Islamic Republic of Iran," warning "if the aggression is repeated, our response will be broader than this."
This is the most dangerous chart in the market.
Analysts now expect S&P 500 long-term earnings growth of 23% a year. The highest reading in the history of the series. Higher than the dot-com peak in 2000.
Sit with how absurd that is over five years. Mega-caps are now nearly half the index, so most of that growth has to come from a handful of names. And those names are slowing, not accelerating.
Here's the problem nobody wants to say out loud. Google, Meta, and the rest once owned monopolies. Search. Social. Separate kingdoms, each printing 20%+ growth from its own moat.
That's over. They've all piled into the same business now: AI. And they all monetize it the same way: ads. The kingdoms have collapsed into one crowded battlefield, fighting over the same pool of advertising dollars.
More competitors. Same revenue source. Slowing growth. Morgan Stanley sees US digital ad growth at roughly 9% a year through 2030, less than half the ~20% pace of 2014 to 2019.
So the engine is decelerating from 20% toward single digits, exactly as analysts pencil in the most optimistic five-year growth in recorded history.
The story says accelerate. The math says decelerate.
One of them is wrong, and it isn't the math.
