About the LINEA Ignite program ;

Would it have been more ethical for the Ignite program to be announced by the team that claims to advocate transparency, or is it more appropriate that it was uncovered by the community?

Especially since the team publicly stated that no behind-the-scenes dealings would occur and even took pride in this, isn’t engaging in such actions behind the scenes damaging to the community’s trust?

You specifically said, “No insiders, no tokens for VCs, no team allocation.” Yet we now see that 1.38% of the $LINEA supply has been secretly allocated to a program that was launched quietly.

In short, everyone expects this process to be shared with the community transparently and in detail. Will the 1.38% allocated to the Ignite program come from a new unlock, or from the 12% liquidity that you said would be available at TGE?

Dear @LineaBuild, if you can't announce even approximate dates for tokenomics, checker and TGE due to legal reasons, what's stopping you from, as a gesture of goodwill, giving us the absolute minimum - telling us when the snapshot was taken, or confirming if it hasn't been taken yet?

Don't even try to convince us that your lawyers or CEXs care about such a minor detail.

We all understand that the only possible reason for not disclosing the snapshot is a desire to milk the community until the very last moment.

So, can we at least get an answer to this question?

But now? You're slowly losing us.
The community is watching — and what we're seeing doesn't look good.
Let me explain why.

The @LineaBuild sharp decline can be seen in every facet of the project.

Let's dig statistically:

Linea active addresses were comfortably enjoying the superstardom hype, there were 800k+ active addresses on Linea in July 2024.

As soon as the community started sensing meandering, tricks, and milking, the active addresses sharply declined to 50k+ in OCT 2024 in just a space of two months.

Linea started singing hymns and praises for an imaginary TGE supposed to happen in late Q1 2025.
The community hoping that this will be linea's rejuvenation started crawling back till the active addresses peak 290k+ in FEB 2025, but neither did the community know that this is another milking scheme orchestrated by Linea to milk more fees.

By late Q1, Linea had shifted the goalpost again, stating nonexistent unforeseen setbacks, and the community, realizing they had been played, decided that enough should be enough; we will keep speaking out until decentralization is achieved.

Immediately the active addresses nose dive to 30k low.

The transactions dropped from FEB high of 400k+ to 90k in April.

This is a lesson for another project out there to learn.

The community is your backbone and your lifeblood; treat them with care, prioritize clear communication without vague utterances like what Declan is using now, be decisive, and fulfill whatever promises you made that attracted the hype.

If $LINEA airdrop ends up disappointing, I’ll stop using the network altogether — no matter how many future promises they make.

But let me be clear: my disappointment won’t be about how much I personally get (or don’t get). It’s about whether the airdrop is fair and respectful to the community as a whole.

I boycott @Starknet, @zksync and @Scroll_ZKP — not because I got small or no rewards, but because I believe their airdrop models were unfair and disrespectful to the users who actually helped them to build their ecosystems.

I also ignore projects like @burnt_xion and @KiloEx_perp, not because I was ineligible or got peanuts, but because they hid the criteria altogether.
If they had published requirements openly and I saw I didn’t qualify — I would say "Fine. That’s fair".

On the flip side, I respect and support @LayerZero_Core — even though I got a small airdrop.
Why? Because they made the process clear, fair, and transparent. They treated the community with respect. So I keep using L0 and am very bullish about it's future.

So, if @LineaBuild allocates a meaningful share of supply and avoids idiotic filters, I’ll respect the effort — even if the market conditions or something force rewards to be much smaller than expected.

But if they pull a tiny slice of supply or introduce ridiculous criteria…
I’m out. Period.
Whether I qualify or not.
