Chris McCoy: "Good dialogue comes from character development. The better you know your character, the more specific the dialogue will feel." #screenwriting
Chris McCoy: “The advantage to what we do is that we are not actors. We don’t have to wait around for someone to hand us material that inspires something within us. We can sit down and write the kind of movie we want to see." #screenwriting

A reminder to find a way to make your movie, no matter what. Don't wait for the conventional path. Don't wait. If it happens, great. But most creative opportunities I've encountered were forged, no matter where you are in your creative career. So go make the thing. Now.
Make your movie, however you can. Patience, dedication, a great team, honoring the script and story. Then wait & fight to make sure you get the right opportunity to expose it. From pre, to distribution, every decision matters.
Shoot for the stars then make logical steps forward

Steven Spielberg says filmmakers should never "use AI as the final word on anything creative":
“Don’t tell me how to write my dialogue for this character. Don’t tell me where the camera has to go. And also don’t tell me what the set should look like, unless AI is simply a tool in a large tool chest of the production designer. Use AI as a tool, but do not use AI as the final word on anything creative. That’s where I draw the line.”

Donald Margulies: “Writers try to convince themselves that research is writing but the truth is research is research. There comes a time when you have to say, ‘That’s enough research’ and confront the beast — the script — and start writing." #screenwriting
