When Trump revealed that US fighter jets had been shot down in a friendly fire over Kuwait, many Indian defense journalists went gaga over 'transparency ' by US over it's losses. This was hailed as a model for India to reveal it's losses in Op Sindoor.

It now turns out that Trump administration has been hiding for two months the extensive damage suffered by American military bases and equipments from Iranian strikes.

The concerned Indian defence journalists may now wipe the egg off their faces.

His name is Bant Singh.

He is a farmer and folk singer from Jhabhar village in Mansa district, Punjab. He had been singing since he was ten years old.

In 2000 his daughter was studying in Class 9 when three men gang raped her. The panchayat told him to settle it quietly. He was offered ten lakh rupees and three acres of land to drop the case.

He refused. He filed a police complaint. He went to court. In 2004 all three men were convicted and sentenced to life imprisonment.

The village did not forgive him. On January 5 2006 he was cycling home through wheat fields after campaigning for a labour rally. Seven men ambushed him with iron rods and axes. He lost both arms and his left leg. He was moved from Mansa to Patiala to PGI Chandigarh where doctors operated for hours to save his life.

When he regained consciousness he asked for his harmonium. He said they cut my arms thinking they would silence me. They were wrong.

All seven attackers were eventually convicted. He kept performing at rallies. He kept singing. He still sings today. Follow for real stories about people India must never forget.

Back then, the yatra demanded time, endurance, & faith. The journey wasn’t incidental; it WAS the pilgrimage.

Today, access is easier. And that’s a good thing because it opens the experience to many more.

But perhaps something still needs preserving?

The ability to slow down & savour the experience of traveling.

Because journeys are about who we become along the way.

His name was Major Shashidharan Nair.

He grew up in Khadakwasla, Pune, right beside the National Defence Academy. He cycled 15 kilometres every Sunday for NCC drills. He cleared CDS. He was commissioned into the 2nd Battalion of the 1st Gorkha Rifles in 2007. He even learned Gurkhali to speak with his soldiers in their own language.

In 2012 mutual friends introduced him to Trupti. She was 26. A computer applications graduate. It was love at first sight. They were engaged within six months.

Eight months into the engagement Trupti was diagnosed with multiple arteriosclerosis. Her movements reduced. She was put in a wheelchair. Strokes followed. She was paralysed below the waist. Permanently.

Friends told him to walk away. Colleagues said it was not too late.

He married her in April 2012. Without hesitation.

He took her to every army dinner, every formal party, every function. He pushed her wheelchair when there was ramp. He carried her in his arms when there was not. He never sought sympathy. Never drew attention to it.

People who used to stare in pity slowly began to stare in respect.

In January 2019 he was posted to Nowshera, Jammu and Kashmir. Trupti was worried. He promised he would come back.

On January 11 2019 an IED blast at the Line of Control injured two soldiers. He ran in to help.

A second IED detonated.

He was killed instantly. He was 33 years old.

At his funeral in Pune, Trupti sat beside his remains in her wheelchair.

She had lost the only person who had never once made her feel she was less.

Today Trupti works as an HR manager in Pune. She carries his name. She carries his promise.

Ayan and five others have been booked for trapping over 300 girls for making their 180 nude videos. They used to take admissions in medical coachings. Names of two coachings have come up: Future Hunt and Akash. After taking admissions, during common classes or cultural events, they would befriend girls from 10th, 11th, and 12th classes. After a few meetings, they would ask them out, take them to cafés.

In a few meetings, they would add them to a Snapchat group whose name was in Urdu. Later, they would send messages about Islam, such as there being only one God, Allah, and so on.

Meeting out became regular as they had good bikes and cars. Then they would take the girls to hotels, expensive hotels, give them gifts, later get intimate and record videos for boasting.

One would imagine where this money is flowing from?

These boys were part of a gang called the "Barood Gang". This gang is active locally and deals with illegal sand mining and beef trade. All the money they make from this is allegedly invested in operations like the ones Arman was carrying out.

Arman and his gang would use the same clips to extort money from the girls as well. When the girls failed to meet their demands, which were in lakhs, they were asked to do favours in exchange for getting their videos deleted.

What were the favours?

They would ask the girls to sleep with middle-aged Muslim men.

Who are these men?

Members of the Barood Gang or members of political parties, allegedly. If this was not enough, the accused had shared the videos of the girls on social media platforms who failed to comply with their demands.

All of this has been going on for one and a half years now, with one of the girls even committing suicide last year.

As of now Ayan has been booked.

After the TCS incident, there would be increased scrutiny over Muslim candidates across the country. Recruiters would double-check the backgrounds of Muslim candidates, maybe sometimes even preferring Hindu candidates over Muslims, just to be on the safe side.

But who is to be blamed for this? The only people responsible for this oncoming prejudice against Muslims are the 7 Muslims arrested for sexual abuse, coercion and forced conversion of Hindus working in TCS.

The fact that so many Muslims were working at an IT firm and had the audacity to run a scandal, doing forced conversions, shows that there is no systemic oppression against Muslims in India.

The victims here are the Hindus. Projecting this incident as some sort of Muslim victimhood is treacherous and gaslighting of the highest order.

Yes, there is Islamophobia, but the reason behind Islamophobia are people like these 7 Muslims who were running this forced conversion scandal at TCS.
