Pearl Harbor already has a standing force. Yes being a Sailor who was picked to go in with Marines, we can be there in 24 hours, how, its called a Med Deployment we are already in the vicinity before the orders are given. I was with the MEU out of Camp Lejeune they deploy up to 5000 Marines on LHA's. We were always less then 24 hours in the Med from any Hotspot.
