We're grateful to share that @craignewmark (Craig Newmark Philanthropies) is making a significant investment in the future of VetsinTech.
For 14 years, VetsinTech has supported veterans and military spouses through our 3Es: Education, Employment, and Entrepreneurship. As our chapters continue to grow nationwide, so does the demand for access to high-quality training in cybersecurity, AI, and emerging technologies.
This support will help us scale our Cybersecurity programs and strengthen pathways into high-paying, in-demand careers, improving quality of life for veterans and their families across the country.
Cybersecurity is a national priority. Veterans are uniquely equipped to lead in this space. Bridging the two is mission-aligned work.
Thank you to Craig Newmark and his team for their trust and partnership. We look forward to building what comes next.

🎟️ What a night! This past Friday, we marked the 11th Annual VetsinTech Veterans Day Gala at the historic Marines’ Memorial Club in San Francisco — an unforgettable evening celebrating veterans, military spouses, and the partners who champion their success in tech. From meaningful conversations to an energetic afterparty, the night blended purpose and celebration in true VetsinTech fashion.

We also had the always-entertaining Franco Finn, hypeman for the Golden State Warriors, return to host the live auction - helping drive support for scholarships that help veterans and military spouses advance their education and careers in tech.

Veterans and military spouses from across the area came together to share experiences, talk tech, and network.
Katherine Webster, VIT founder and CEO, kicked things off alongside special guest and board member Craig Newmark, whose support for veterans and our mission continues to open doors.
A big thank you to everyone who joined us; it was great to see familiar faces, including chapter leaders Edward "Trey" Russell and Garrett Deese, as well as many other new ones. We look forward to hosting more events in the city as we grow this community together.

The panel featured Michael DeLucca of Scared to Scale, Saul Ramos from the SBA Nevada District Office, Ryan Rubio of Zero Labs, Shaq Cruz of Nevada Governor's Office of Economic Development (GOED), and Chris Kearns of First Command Financial Services, Inc.. Each speaker brought a unique perspective - ranging from government-backed resources to venture readiness and financial planning - offering practical takeaways for founders navigating the capital landscape.
We were honored to receive a Certificate of Special Congressional Recognition from Congresswoman Susie Lee, acknowledging our ongoing commitment to supporting veterans and military spouses in entrepreneurship, education, and employment.
Special thanks to @DraftKings, and especially Jared Hess and Katy Spriano, for hosting and championing this community. Deep appreciation to our local chapter leaders Dave Burlin and Jason LeDuc, for leading Freedom Week with vision and heart. And a special shoutout to Angelica Villarta for your continued support and efforts. You are a true force.
