Although media coverage is gone, there are still burnt & injured animals. Here in Peak View and Numeralla in the Snowy Mountain area, work continues, assisting with search & rescue at carer James Fitzgerald @2thumbs #wildlife shelter that was almost completely destroyed by fire.

VFC @AnimalsAus @action4ifaw & Army Vets working together! Hope, the joey came in yesterday, recumbent and in shock. Thought we were going to lose her. She’s 6.5kg should be 10. Today she can stand and is eating so while we’re not out of the woods that’s a little win!

The fires maybe out but our carers Sarah Wildlife rescuer and her daughter Holly are caring for a little Joey in Cooma, where they have been volunteering for many weeks. Thank you so very much to the dedicated volunteers!

VFC #volunteer vet Dr Alison Brown, was on the ground last week at #MosswoodWildlifeRescue in Koriot, treating the MANY sick and injured #koalas that were transferred from the #Portland / Cape Bridgewater site.

The number of #koalas rescued from #CapeBridgwater in Portland was astounding. All those needing care and treatment were transferred to local wildlife carer Tracey at #MosswoodWildlifeRescue in ##Koriot and her amazing team of volunteer carers. Thanks to everyone that assisted!

A special mention to #PortlandFootballClub who kindly donated their facilities to ensure the volunteers could get the koala mix made in mass production! Thank you to everyone involved that donated blankets, towels, pouches, Teddy's, food supplies & time. Such a huge team effort!
