@16bitnostalgia There's so many to choose from, but I'd argue that it comes from either a Halo, Final Fantasy, or Legend of Zelda game.

@TheCartoonLoon I'd argue OoT is more of a "hub" than a true open world. Yes, the game's scope expands massively once you get to Hyrule Field, but there is still very much a set path, and some parts are completely inaccessible without following said path.

@Mr_Rebs_ I'm sure they said exactly this in the reveal roundtable trailer last year, but I may be misremembering. Pretty sure the prequel missions unlock after you complete the Campaign.

@MetroidFREAK21 I'm hoping FFR has the free upgrade path for the Switch 2 version, like Tactics did, so I can still get a proper physical for Switch 2. Otherwise, it will be PS5 for me, as it seems XSX has no physical at all... 😩

@JayHooft Possibly, I can see them expanding the "hub" aspect (Hyrule Field, etc), to allow a bigger sandbox but still not go fully open world. I feel that would be the sweet spot. Hopefully we see more soon!

@MetroidFREAK21 I feel this. Already made the decision that any multiplatform GKC game is getting purchased on XSX or PS5. Shame really, as I love having the option to play portable, especially when you have multiple members of family all wanting to do different things, as it frees up the TV!

@NintyPrime Was a great Direct in my opinion, but I can see why some were disappointed; it was very JRPG heavy and light on new announcements (accepting that LoZ had been spoiled, which isn't Nintendo's fault). I just don't know where I am going to find the time and money for all these games
